Covering the Filipino Basketball League of Long Island has been a vibrant and fast-paced experience, filled with emotion, camaraderie, and raw energy on the court. Held weekly in Centereach, NY, these games bring together a close-knit community of players who compete with both heart and humor.

This series marks an important chapter in my sports photography journey—not only as a creative outlet but also as a way to support my husband and the team he proudly represents. As exciting as the action is, capturing it hasn’t come without its challenges. The gym’s lighting and my current lens setup have made it tough to achieve the crisp indoor shots I envision. However, this has motivated me to invest in upgraded gear tailored for low-light, indoor sports environments so I can do justice to the intensity and rhythm of the game.
